I play Chopin's Bb Major Mazurka (Mazurka b dur) Op. 7, no. 1 as the first installment of transforming my "Morning Sing" from the past few months into "Saturday Sing." Of course, this isn't singing, but piano playing instead. It's all ways that music makes my soul sing. That's my justification and I'm sticking to it! :-)

I'm playing it at "learning speed," just enough to have a feel for it and get many notes not quite right - this is my playing for fun, not for performance. This is *definitely* not at the vivace tempo which is marked.

The picture is of me in college - the last time I took a classical piano lesson. I just enjoy playing the piano and encourage everyone to play for FUN and enjoyment. Perfection is not required.

Bb Major Mazurka (Mazurka b dur) Op. 7, no. 1 [played at approximately 1/2 speed]

written 1830-1832 by Frédéric Chopin
