Morning Sing: June 15, 2020

My final song in this round of Morning Sing is The Wind Beneath My Wings, from the 1988 movie Beaches starring Bette Midler. At this point, I am going to transition to “Saturday Sing” with weekly videos. So many people have been influential in my life, especially my musical life. You’ll hear me tear up in the middle of singing this song today—music should bring us emotional reactions. Fun fact: I have two folio scores of this piece from my grandfather’s collection. He both purchased it twice and I pulled both copies from his collection as I was going through it. Clearly, it was important to me to have this song in my library.
