Morning Sing: May 12, 2020

Good morning!

I tried something different with the audio this morning and ended up with different challenges (I acknowledge the accompaniment is almost inaudible). I’ll continue to play with that end, but fully admit I am not an audio engineer, and part of the point of this project is to capture relatively authentically what I’m experiencing each morning when I sing (i.e. no post-production). Thanks for hanging in there with me!

Why Was I Born is from the MGM movie musical Till the Clouds Roll By, based on the life and music of Jerome Kern and starring Judy Garland; this song is one of those that I have sung to myself for comfort when I’ve felt very down and not sure why I was placed on this earth. It’s a song that helped to express my feelings more deeply than “mere” words. I hope you have some music that helps you to feel your feelings, express them, and move through them.
