This morning another Yip Harburg/Harold Arlen classic (with Billy Rose adding lyrics assistance): It’s Only a Paper Moon. I mis-stated in the video that I was assigned by one of my piano teachers to transcribe Harry Connick Jr.’s version of Paper Moon from his album 20. It was Avalon from that album. One of the most famous performers of It’s Only a Paper Moon was Nat King Cole. Here’s a video of him performing it on Italian television. Enjoy!
